I seem to be in a new band: CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. We play one very long song per show. This pic is from our first show, at Seattle's own Tim's Tavern (new location in White Center, which may or may not qualify as Seattle these days, I cannot keep track).

L-R : me (guitar), Evan Strauss (bass), Patrick Lenon (drums), Charles Wicklander.

I've known all three guys for about 20 years (since they were teens!) but we've very very rarely played in a group with all of us together. Maybe not in fifteen years even. Super fun.

after last night's set I went to unplug my amp & discovered that

THE POWER CABLE HAD BEEN WRAPPED AROUND ONE OF THE TUBES all through the set!

1st concern—the cable hadn't melted 😓
but when I unwrapped it
THE TUBE CAME OUT IN MY HAND

we were so close to disaster & had no idea

Evan Strauss & Variety Pack have been friends of ours since 2003 (they were literal teenagers at the time). A big part of that whole Mr. Spot's Chai House thing. & Negative Passengers are, well, we don't know yet but they seem friendly! 💕
