Totally pleased to see Robbie Robertson claimed as one of the 20th century's many great nominally-male rock&roll lesbians.

Feel a little dumb I didn't catch on myself sooner, but pleased as always to be educated!

THIS is getting started NOW.

FIRST in a SERIES.

GREAT place to learn about SAG-AFTRA and how your union works, what it is, what it does, history, context, etc!!!

can't remember if I posted this when it came out...

so here's an amazing newest release from my improv-psych trio BEYOND CAPTAIN ORCA! augmented by guest Matto on electric mandalorian β€”

Jack Endino - lead guitar
5 - lead bass
Patrick Lenon - lead drums

Pearl Cat just asked me to do more yoga so she could roll around on the mat with me 😹

I don't have another session in me but did some cat/cows & such. Made her happy.

a star gone from the firmament,
a constellation that no longer completes a picture

on Thursday June 8th
I will be playing two sets in one night for the first time in 2 or 3 years.

β€’ guitar/sing w/ (r&r)

β€’ bass w/ (improv-rock)

kinda stoked!!!

Echo Ravine in between shd be awesome as well!

Someone elsewhere was doing a thread of:

"Over 30sβ€”Share a current picture & your age!"

& I won't be doing that there
but I'll do it hereβ€”

47yo by the way (as was op)

I will be playing bass with BEYOND CAPTAIN ORCA! for the first time in an underwater age!

I really love playing music with these two guys & am very much looking forward to the next few months of first Thursdays at Tim's Tavern πŸ€˜πŸ‹πŸ’•

Jack Endino - lead guitar
James Patrick Lenon - lead drums
5 - lead bass

w/ Luna Moss & Del Vox β€” come chill with us at the new Tim's Tavern !! πŸ₯°

I seem to be in a new band: CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. We play one very long song per show. This pic is from our first show, at Seattle's own Tim's Tavern (new location in White Center, which may or may not qualify as Seattle these days, I cannot keep track).

L-R : me (guitar), Evan Strauss (bass), Patrick Lenon (drums), Charles Wicklander.

I've known all three guys for about 20 years (since they were teens!) but we've very very rarely played in a group with all of us together. Maybe not in fifteen years even. Super fun.

after last night's set I went to unplug my amp & discovered that

THE POWER CABLE HAD BEEN WRAPPED AROUND ONE OF THE TUBES all through the set!

1st concernβ€”the cable hadn't melted πŸ˜“
but when I unwrapped it
THE TUBE CAME OUT IN MY HAND

we were so close to disaster & had no idea

Apparently we're playing a show!

First sighting since summer 2021 :polymerwitch: πŸŽ‰ 🎸 πŸ₯

Saturday March 11 2023 at CONOR BYRNE with VARIETY PACK and NEGATIVE PASSENGERS

Evan Strauss & Variety Pack have been friends of ours since 2003 (they were literal teenagers at the time). A big part of that whole Mr. Spot's Chai House thing. & Negative Passengers are, well, we don't know yet but they seem friendly! πŸ’•

Looking forward to playing some rock&roll with @CuratorOfCosmicDust & very much hoping to not get sick! πŸ’•

@seattle #

here's a picture from the release show for SIDESHOWS by Sheridan Riley's PEG... this was taken by @CuratorOfCosmicDust during soundcheck at Woodland Theater of Seattle.

Sheridan is on the drums, I'm on bass looking at camera. Lori Goldston on cello on the left, Jesse Miller on guitar, Ronan Delisle on keys at right. We found a better way to stand during the show!
